Shard Powers Activate
Agonizing Blast, Bardic Inspiration, and Sneak Attack
These features and 100s more now have built in automation to making playing the game on Shard easier than ever.
Today, we released a major update to the character sheet, chat, and the die roller. A new block on character consolidates actions, bonus actions, reactions, free actions, and features that modify or enhance other actions. It also incorporates active spell effects and conditions, both of which provide additional options or modify existing ones.
Safety First
Chat expands to support safety cards.
Let’s Get Chatty!
Users asked us about building chat into the application a lot over the last year or so. Our response was always, “When we can make it better than using an external chat application, we will…” I’m happy to report we figured that out and today “Chat” is going live.
Holiday Decor!
Happy Holidays! As a special year end gift to our users, we launched a brand new release today that includes a major enhancement to the character sheet. You now have an abundance of options for expressing your character’s style.
Player Content Sharing Enabled!
Our latest release includes the ability for players to share their content library with the campaigns they play in.
Feedback & Tips & Gifts Oh My
Our latest release, includes some frequently requested features. Players can now give feedback to their Gamemasters, including providing a monetary tip. In addition to gifting products from the Shard Marketplace you can purchase Gift Cards as well.
Monster Mash
Just in time for your Halloween games, we are rolling out a software update with a ton of monster related features with a few other minor enhancements thrown in for good measure.
Link Magic
Shard has long supported hyperlinks to things like monsters, items, and even custom types in the text of books and tables within those books. The text editor even suggests words that correspond to those types to help you create links. When you are reading a book inside or outside of a campaign, clicking on a link to one of these types brings up the associated monster stat block, item description or custom type.
Until today, that’s as far as it went. Links were simply helpful references. Today, that changed.
Pin Up
Our latest release includes major improvements to the capabilities of pins, including the ability to change sizes, change marker tokens and attach multiple encounters, book references or maps to a single pin.
Art and Tokens
This week’s release includes a variety of new options for adding art to your creations. While the player experience may not be visibly very different, in the coming weeks, players should expect to see differences as creators, including us, adopt these new abilities.
