Mounts, familiars, and more

Creature Companions are now supported on the Shard character sheet. As you can see in the screen shot below, the new section, right below equipment, supports multiple companions and different types.

The Cat could be a familiar or simply a pet. The Warhorse is this character’s mount. The New Defender is an example of a new Companion Creature type that will be the subject of my next blog. Hint, it’s abilities level up based on the character’s level.

Each of these has a full stat block that is accessible by clicking on the token. That stat block also fully supports the die roller, so that you can roll on behalf of your companions.

In addition, the player has control of adding their tokens to the map and movement of those tokens.

Players can also fully customize the creature, name it, and create a unique token without changing the core monster on which it is based.

Companions move with the character should the player change campaigns.
