The Fates fell in love with Shard Tabletop a few months ago and started setting up adventures for online play. Their goal is to produce one a month exclusively on Shard Tabletop. I was thrilled when they reached out and even more so when I read the first two adventures.

Tavern Tales!
Gather round and let us tell you a tale. The brilliant team at Tavern Tales has joined the party. Ben and Alex are dungeon masters and world-building enthusiasts who love Dungeons and Dragons.
They work to create high-quality, hand-painted battlemaps, ready-to-play encounters and 5th Edition Adventures for your game. Each piece of content is designed to allow for development into a longer-running campaign or to be placed easily into your game as a stand-alone adventure that can be completed in one or two sessions of play.
Let’s Dabble…
As promised, this blog will cover some of the recent modeling enhancements. It will also introduce a new tutorial video that shows the creation of a new magical tinkering class we call the Dabbler and include link to the package containing the Dabbler.
Text to model
Shard has modelled types for all the standard 5E mechanics (classes, races, backgrounds, spells, …) and offers the option to create your own custom types with modeled features that impact the characters to which they are attached. Today, we will talk about the new tools we just released to help creators go from text in a book to a fully modeled object.
Better Books
This week’s release includes a number of enhancements to the book authoring experience.
Character Updates
Over the next several days, I will be detailing a series of updates that went live to Shard today. Today’s entry will cover player visible changes. Tomorrow and the following days will cover enhancements to book creation, additional modeling options, and creating modeled content from books.
Flexible Racial Ability Modifiers
The headline change is that racial modifiers are now changeable within Shard. When you pick your character’s race, you will see the check box and the options that appear below.

The Troll Lords are coming! We are incredibly happy to announce a new partnership with Troll Lord Games. The Troll Lords have embraced Shard Tabletop and are bringing their 50+ title, growing catalog of 5th edition gaming material over to Shard.
