Hunting Domain
As Bryn pulled the bowstring taut, she called upon her goddess, empowering the arrow with a divine light. Her goddess didn’t tolerate poaching, and her prey would learn that soon enough.
Clerics who pledge themselves to deities of the Hunting Domain are masters of the hunt. The bounty of the land is theirs for the taking, and they are gifted with an array of powers that enable them to track and defeat the most elusive and dangerous foes.
These clerics gain access to a repertoire of spells typically available to rangers, and are also granted proficiency in longbows. They can channel their divine powers to blend in to their surroundings or imbue their weapons with holy strength. Eventually, they can even establish a favored foe, allowing them to more easily track them and identify their weaknesses.
Roleplaying Tips.
When playing a cleric of the Hunting Domain, you should decide what kind of hunter you want to be. You could be a trophy hunter, in search of the most exotic beasts, or perhaps a bounty hunter, bringing in fugitives from the law. You should also consider where your deity’s places of worship are most likely to be found. Were you raised in a moss-laden temple, deep in the forest, or a mountain temple of ascetic archery masters? Your religious training may have led to you being more distant or detached from others, but it’s likely once you become close with someone, you would protect them no matter what.
The Hunting Domain was created by our partners at Kobold Press, and it is one of the many subclasses available to subscribers, along with others like the Soulspy or the College of Entropy, as well as races such as the Shade or Spindrift Dwarf.
