Kobold Press launched in 2006 to bring exciting worlds, monsters, player options, and magic to traditional table-top roleplaying games and virtual table-top platforms. They have always been a leader in the industry and as such were among the first to embrace Fifth Edition. So much so, that they have a designed three books for Wizards of the Coast (including the first campaign for 5th edition) and remain a trusted partner.

Their own setting of Midgard is supported by hundreds of published adventures and more than 40 books including forthcoming titles like The Scarlet Citadel, Southlands, and Vault of Magic. All of this material and more is coming to Shard Tabletop.

We are partnering with Kobold Press on multiple projects. Not only are they bringing their vast catalog of 5th edition material over, we are also collaborating to add player content to every Shard subscription.

All subscription tiers will include a Core Content Pack consisting of both time tested and new material authored by the designers at Kobold Press. Subclasses, backgrounds, races, and feats for use in any setting will be provided.

Titles from Kobold Press’ vast catalog with be coming to Shard each month throughout 2021, starting on launch day with Tome of Beasts, The Book of Lairs, Empire of Ghouls, The Underworld Player’s Guide, and Underworld Lairs. In addition, to back catalog titles, new titles will launch on Shard simultaneously with their release in other mediums. Upcoming releases for the Scarlet Citadel, Southlands, and the Vault of Magic all include Shard versions as part of their Kickstarter fulfillment options.
