Published Adventures
The easiest way to reduce preparation effort is use a published adventure. With a published adventure someone else has written the book with descriptions for setup and all of the encounters, loaded all of the maps, created new monsters and items, and designed all of the encounters by placing monsters and assigning treasure. Preparation is simply a matter of reading and reviewing the material before running any sessions. We are working to produce our own adventures and working with other publishers to include their adventures within Shard Tabletop. Even with an abundance of published adventures, we want to allow DMs to express their own creativity to build their own adventures, or modify published adventures to create their own unique experiences. Find free or purchasable adventures in our marketplace.
Starting the Adventure
All published adventures are organized around a book. The book has the full description of the adventure as well as references to all of the assets needed to run the encounter. You can read about the adventure by going to the book in your library.
When you are ready to run the adventure then click “Pick Book” to select the book in your campaign.
Pregenerated Characters
Some adventures come with pregenerated characters that the players may select to quickly get started. When players join the campaign they will have the opportunity to claim one of the pregenerated characters to use as their character. The character is placed in the players account and joined to the campaign. The player may then may any changes required.
Click yes to add the pregenerated characters to your campaign.
Using the Book
In addition to instructions on running the adventure the book there are many actions that you can do directly from a book inside of a campaign.

Make it Your Own
There is no need to feel constrained using a published adventure. You can modify anything from the published adventure to make it your own. Adjust the encounters to match your player characters or change the book to make the story your own. Add your own encounters or locations. Use published adventures to spark your creativity not contain it.
