Gamemaster Feedback and Tips

One of the best ways to improve as a Gamemaster and keep you game engaging is to get feedback from players. To help support that Shard Tabletop provides a mechanism for players to provide feedback. Additionally, players can send a tips to the Gamemaster to help them buy more exciting content to play or just to reward them for their time.

Giving Feedback

Players can give feedback at any time by clicking the campaign name and selecting Give Feedback.

The Gamemaster Feedback dialog allows you to enter information to send to your gamemaster.

  • User Name: this will automatically fill in your name. You can leave this as is, use an alias like your character name, or give anonymous feedback.

  • Rating: 1-5 star rating, more starts are better. You can also choose not to give a rating.

  • Feedback: text feedback describing what you liked, didn’t like or any helpful suggestions for the gamemaster.

Tips

Players also have the option to include a tip for the gamemaster. This is entirely optional. Tips provide a way for a group of players to send money to their gamemaster so that they can purchase new content from the marketplace for their next great adventure or just pay them back for the time spent building a great game.

Purchasing a tip works much like making any other purchase. You will have a chance to verify the purchase, supply a credit card if needed and use any of your own credits. The feedback will include a note about the tip amount if you do choose to include a tip.

Tips can be used by the gamemaster to make any purchase from the marketplace at full value. Additionally, they can payout the credits to a PayPal account. Note: Payouts for tips do include a processing fee of $1 plus 10% of the tip to cover Shard Tabletop processing fees from credit card and PayPal processing.
