Circle of Roses

Kel swung his quarterstaff in a wide arc in front of him, leaving a flurry of petals in its wake, as the cultist dodged out of the way. “Ha, you missed!” mocked the robed man. Kel smiled, as the cultist’s nostrils flared, and his eyes suddenly glazed over, his dagger falling limp at his side. “Who said I was trying to hit you?”

Kel, Druid of the Circle of Roses

Kel, Druid of the Circle of Roses

Druids of the Circle of Roses use the power of nature to influence the minds and hearts of those around them, alleviating sorrow, spreading terror, and ensnaring hearts in equal measure.

These druids can tap into their connection with nature to create sweet and bitter perfumes that transmit their power to any who inhale the scent. This unique ability allows them to manipulate their foes or to strengthen their allies. While other druids might transform into a small creature to sneak past a guard, a druid of the Circle of Roses could instead use their powers of enchantment to charm them and have them escort them directly to their destination.

Roleplaying Tips. Druids of the Circle of Roses are particularly well-suited for both subterfuge and diplomacy, depending on the situation. They may act as political representatives of a druidic council, spies infiltrating an enemies’ inner circle, or even courtesans weaving their way through the complexities of royal intrigue. While their power allows them to sway the minds of others, they are most likely to use it to ensure the protection of nature, whether that might be to sabotage a planned deforestation, or to stymie the development of a new harmful technology. A Druid of the Circle of Roses discovered to be using their powers for personal gain may soon find themselves at the wrong end of the thorns.
